WBCS Preliminary Examination

The West Bengal Civil Service (WBCS) Preliminary Examination is the first stage of the WBCS recruitment process conducted by the West Bengal Public Service Commission. It serves as a screening test for selecting candidates for the Main Examination and subsequent Personality Test.

Purpose of the Preliminary Examination

The Preliminary Examination is designed to assess a candidate’s general awareness, analytical ability, reasoning skills, and understanding of national and state-level issues.
